Decoration Day Notice

Sunday, June 11, 2017

Everyone is welcome to pause and reflect as we pay respect to loved ones and neighbours who have gone before. This is an annual time-honoured tradition when Canadians gather at war monuments with flowers and pray that their sacrifices were not in vain.

The Fergus Brass Band will commence playing at 1:30 pm, the Fergus Pipe Band will parade at 1:45 pm beginning at the ball diamond on St. David Street South, Fergus and proceed to the Legion Memorial in Belsyde Cemetery. Ceremonies begin at 2:00 pm.

Seating is available and the Legion will provide carnations for participants to decorate the grave site of their loved ones.

We remember and we continue to remember well.

Weather permitting
