75 YEARS AND COUNTING
The Fergus Legion Branch 275 Ladies Auxiliary celebrate 75 years of dedicated service to the Royal Canadian Legion, Fergus Branch 275 and the local community. Their fundraising drives in the community include Women in Crisis in Wellington County, Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation, Homeless Veterans in the province, just to name but a few.
The Ladies’ Auxiliary (LA) is a non-profit organization operated separate from The Royal Canadian Legion… but together we thrive. Most, but not all, Legion Branches have Ladies Auxiliaries.
In Ontario there are 292 Auxiliary groups with 13,731 members. Members are mothers, wives, daughters, nieces, sisters, granddaughters, great granddaughters and widows of Veterans, Legion and are very active members of our community. Any woman who is eligible for membership in the Legion may choose to become a member of the Ladies Auxiliary only, or a member of both organizations.
For more information please contact the Fergus Legion Branch at (519) 843-2340 and ask for Frances Hurd, President, Ladies Auxiliary.
